It's better to begin with a 語言學校...because, the lycées are preparing for the baccalaureat. French is very important, or you won't be able to: 1), follow the lessons, 2) write A sentence without mistakes. 3) you won't have time to think about your grammar or syntax mistakes during exams.
Personnaly, When I first came here, I was in an "adaptation class" in Junior high school, and then I transferred to a bilingual (English, French) School. My French GRADUALLY improved these years...
